Kiosk and Digital Signage 2020 (KDS 2020), Europe’s leading one-day summit for kiosk and digital signage industry professionals has been postponed.
Further to the Government’s recently updated guidelines, concerns for exhibitor and attendee safety in indoor venues meant that the scheduled reopening of venues was considered untenable. The venue for the summit, London’s Business Design Centre, confirmed this week that they would be unable to deliver an event of the quality expected of KDS 2020 and consequently the difficult decision was made to postpone the trade show.
Organisers Abacus Communications said it was with ‘much regret’ that KDS 2020 is not able to go ahead.
Greg Ward, CEO Abacus Communications said “We felt that under the current circumstances, an early decision to postpone this year’s event was preferential for the industry. We are hugely disappointed, but we will continue to move forward.
“We are committed to creating the right environment for exhibitors, sponsors and delegates at our events and the restrictions imposed by Government has meant this would not be possible in December. The team has worked hard to bring in a line-up of industry leaders delivering valuable and insightful seminars and exhibitor numbers were on the increase, but unfortunately Covid-19 has forced the postponement..”
We continue to work with the venue and hope to be able to announce the new date in the coming weeks.
